October 13th 2007

Great defending from Lauren Jones, Kath Rosenfeld, Nicole Covey and Grace Larcombe and great saves from Fay Cooper kept this game close.
It was Grocott from a Ludlam corner though that put the Belles ahead with a great headed goal and then soon it was Grocott again who tapped the ball in at close range.

Denmead Belles U16s 1 vs. Gosport U16s 5 The first game of the season saw Denmead up against a well organised and strong Gosport.

Even with good support play from Nicole Covey and Charlotte Ludlam the Belles were kept out by some great goalkeeping.
2 more goals found the net after a series of great saves from Fay Cooper as even the defence of Kat Rosenfeld and Grace Larcombe could not contain a strong Gosport. Half time 0 - 3.

Second half saw another debutant, Lauren Jones (DBFC's player of the match) and the introduction of Pippi Grocott and the Belles pulled one back from Ranger with a low, shot.

However, a comeback was off the cards as Gosport scored 2 quick goals to wrap up the game.

AFC Dynamo U16s vs DBFC U16s Friendly Match report: 22nd September 2007 First game of the season for the Belles and it took nearly 15 minutes for the Belles to get into their stride against a new and determined AFC Dynamo.

With great performances from everyone, the Belles put on a great show to lead HT 5 0 with goals from Chloe (3), Nicole and Pippi. Second half and again it took the Belles a little while to get back into their stride but when they did there was plenty of slick passing, and great ball control to add to the HT score to make a final score of 11 1, with Nicole scoring 2 more, Charlie grabbing one, 2 more for Chloe and an Own goal.

Defending was fantastic with Grace and Kat solid in defence and some great runs from Kat supporting the midfield and good catching and kicking from Fay.

A good win, against a spirited side and this victory bodes well for the Belles as the start of the season is just days away.
