Match Reports DBFC gave Burridge, the league leaders a scare today, leading 0 - 1 after 1' 20", a fine corner by Emily Powell went across the face of goal, to be taken up by Lauren on the back post to send the ball into the back of the net. Denmead continued to dominate for the next 8 minutes untill Burridge levelled the score at 1-1, Burridge went on to score another goal after 18' of play and it was fairly even between the two teams, with Denmead standing up to Burridge's robust play. Denmead with only six players were having to pace themselves for the duration of the match. 1/2 time 2 -1 to Burridge. Denmead failed to start the 2nd half very well and quickly conceeded a further goal after 6' , 3 - 1 to Burridge, Burridges continued robust play caused havoc with Denmead and seemed to unsettle them, despite some fine saves by Hannah. Denmead conceeded two further goals to end the match 5 - 1. Unfortunately, Hannah picked up a further wrist injury and basicaly played the last 15' with one hand, with Emily back in the area covering for her. Other injuries included Robyn who was shoved in the stomach and Xian picked up a hand injury, despite this the midfield and striker were combining well and had several shots on goal.
