Portsmouth Football Club are holding girls only football sessions at Horndean Technology College in the sports hall on Thursdays starting at 5pm (1 hour). It is open for eight to sixteen year olds and is priced at £3.00 per session, paid on arrival at the venue.
The aim is to improve the standard of girls football in the area and offer a point of contact for players and coaches to discuss any queries or ideas they may have.

It's important that at least one team representative attends our monthly meetings. Please come along, you don't have to be the Manager, we just need feedback on how the teams are performing.
Also would you like to help the club, 'Run the Line' or Referee a game. Please contact your team manager, Terry or Shaun for details.
We have a season ticket available for all club members to use permitting an adult and Junior to watch league, cup and Pompey Reserve games.

Congratulations to U11 team who won the Winchester tournament on Sunday (6/09/2009), beating Winchester in the final on penalties.
Dear Players, Parents, Supporters, and Sponsors
As we close out the end of another successful season at DBFC, I would like to congratulate every player on another fine performance by everyone associated with Denmead Belles F.C.
We have played in 2 different leagues during the 2008/2009 season, together with various tournaments and yet again we should all hold our heads high with pride as we continue to show the competition that the "Belles" are going from strength to strength.
As an old season comes to an end, and a new one is soon to kick off, its also a time to reflect on the many hours of voluntary support that the managers, coaches, parents, committee and sponsors continue to put into the club in order that all the girls enjoy a safe, rewarding, learning experience whilst developing their football skills and its really pleasing to see many girls now making into trials with bigger teams, including Hampshire.
I would like to specifically and publicly thank the following:
Julia for her tireless work and devotion to the Club, in her many roles of manager/coach, Club treasurer, fund raiser, School liaison officer, etc. and this is after her own daughter has already passed through DBFC and now no longer plays.
Craig for his great support over the last few years, especially more recently with the role of Club Secretary and Web man! The Secretary role is the most important role within any club and Craig has certainly "set the bar high" and will be a tough act to follow.
Sue, for her fantastic efforts in making sure that as a Club we remain safe, legal, and within the rules of the FA and CRBs Tony for his continued loyalty to the girls in his coaching capacity
Terry and Karl for their fantastic levels of enthusiasm and managerial support.
Jane for taking up the challenge last year to manage the U16s and good luck with the "ladies" 11 a side for next season.
This is also my "farewell" as after 10 years of Managing, Coaching, Treasurer and Chairman, I have decided to stand down and pass over the baton to a new Chairman for the coming seasons. I have enjoyed my time, and really proud when I look back and see a club that has successfully achieved and retained his Charter Standard Award Status, has a great identity, strong comardery amongst all players and managers / coaches and is also successful at securing sponsorship to help fund the club as we remain solvent and able to continue to buy the best equipment and facilities.
I would like to wish you all the very best for the new season and I will continue to have Denmead Belles as one of my favorites!

The new Committee has now been elected; Terry Spalding (Chair); Shaun Larcombe (Secretary); Julia Scott (Treasurer). Our first Managers meeting is on Tuesday, 4th August and open to all to attend.
